Oil Palm Marathon: Pure Love and Passion

15 October 2025

Every marathon has its own rhythm, a heartbeat that connects runners, organizers, and the people behind the lens. Since 2022, Sunday Creative Lab has been part of that rhythm through the Oil Palm Marathon  an international running event that brings together sportsmanship, community, and visual energy.

From the early days of the event, our team has been trusted to handle both visual documentation and design communication  shaping how the marathon is seen, shared, and remembered each year. It’s been a three-year journey of capturing movement, emotion, and the evolving identity of a growing event.

Documenting a marathon isn’t just about getting the perfect shot  it’s about being present in every pace. We’ve learned to follow the rhythm of the runners, the volunteers, and the crowd, reading the atmosphere as it changes through the day. From the pre-race calm to the heat of the finish line, that’s where real stories live.

Each year, our cameras caught new layers of that story. The returning faces, the new participants, the small details that only happen once. That’s what makes long-term collaboration meaningful  it allows us to see how an event grows, not just how it looks.

Alongside the documentation, our design team crafted visual materials that evolve with the marathon itself  from posters and social media assets to event recap visuals. Every design decision was about balance: keeping the identity consistent while letting the visuals feel alive and in motion.

By combining on-site instincts with clean, considered design, we’ve helped translate the atmosphere of the marathon into visuals that feel honest, energetic, and lasting. Working on Oil Palm Marathon from 2022 to 2024 has been more than a project  it’s a partnership built on trust and shared rhythm. It reminded us how creative work can run parallel with human endurance: both require timing, instinct, and love for the process.

At Sunday Creative Lab, we’re always open to collaborations like this where creativity meets movement, and visuals become part of the story itself. Because some races don’t end at the finish line they keep running through the images that stay behind.
